Summer date at Las Casas in Bataan

Did I mention that my boyfriend and I were saving money throughout the year for a summer date? Its a good way of practicing your "saving skills" plus the feeling of finally "achieving" your "goal" (which is the date) makes us feel soo accomplished.
I have a thing for vintage, same reason as why I soo loved Ilocos. It was in Ilocos that we had our very first summer date, particularly in Playa Tropical in Currimao. And upon seeing Las Casas in Deal Grocer a couple years ago...I knew we were meant to be there. And so I waited for another deal to come to save a good P600/night. And lo and behold, just when we were planning to finally book a non-promo deal came the dashing Deal Grocer- Las Casas partnership again! HAHA lucky kids indeed!

Set on May 15-17, just in time for our happy 16th. We drove and left Manila around 930AM, took the San Fernando exit and went to SM. Seriously! HAHA. We took the not-SCTEX way. We occasionally stopped to get food HAHA. I am being serious ha, no joke! We were in Las Casas by 1PM and had our tummy filled with Filipino lunch: Sinampalukang Manok, which tasted more like Sinigang na manok. Mom's sinamplaukan has real sampaloc leaves and taste waaaaay better! Just saying, pero yummy din sya, for sinigang HAHA.

I love the bahay-na-bato-feel! Everything/everyone looked vintage except for the fan HAHA.
After lunch, we checked-in in our room and fell in love with their studio deluxe. It was a very spacious room just for two persons. The bed was also big. The floor can sleep my other relatives pa if we go there and nagtitipid! HAHA. There were canopy/curtains surrounding the bed that gives it a romantic feel. There was also a mini dining table for room service. A desk that I guess also serves as a vanity table. Mini refrigerator is inside one of the many cabinets, along with the safety deposit box and the TV. The bathroom is HUGE with a big mirror beside the tub, shower is thank goodness enclosed with glass though the toilet seat is just hanging there super exposed. I get cold everytime I go potty!

We can't live without junk food, the photo says it all.
For dinner, we tried the Italian restaurant which serves really good brick-oven pizzas! Yumminess. Plus a big basket of complimentary bread. The bread were all good, freshly baked by Las Casas too. Las Casas has two restaurants which serves Filipino & Spanish, and Italian food.

Though I find this restaurant a little too dim.
We had the tour the following morning. Our guide was Jon, he was such a joker. I swear, benta all his jokes and I was laughing hard the whole tour. He made fun of all the heritage people HAHA (not the insulting way ha). At night, we took a dip into the beautiful batis inspired swimming pool. Haaaay it all felt like a dream *sigh, sigh, sigh*.

Breakfast is complimentary. For two mornings we were served sinangag + 2 viands + eggs + fruit and a glass of juice / coffee. Hot choco can be bought for P80.00.

The batis.
I was also in the mood for some Pinoy kakanin specifically the palitaw. They sell Pinoy meriendas from 3PM 'til 5 or 6PM near the batis. I spotted street food like fishball etc, they also have bibingka and putubungbong. Gaaaah! I can imagine how festive Las Casas is on Christmas season. Hmmm, December's also a good time to date ha!

The palitaw and the walk after eating palitaw.
And because we're massage addicts, we tried the massage located just below our room. The massage is not Mr. Acuzar's spa, FYI. Maybe he doesn't like spas.

Here are some of the views and buildings in Mr. Acuzar's pangmayaman hobby. HAHA. He likes everything antique so he collects old houses and made his own antique house village.

Go na! I know you're jelly envy baby so book your room/s na!
